Open has worked exclusively in the IC space for 20+ years. We know the internal communication landscape, operations and challenges. We’re a Microsoft partner and have used M365 Copilot since its early days. We’ve used other AI tools too.
We know AI maturity isn’t evenly distributed. One person may be experimenting daily, another barely touching the tools. The AI in Corp Comms Accelerator offering is designed for that reality.
While many of our clients use M365 Copilot, this accelerator focuses on ways of working, not specific tools for their own sake. Our role is to help comms teams use AI responsibly, pragmatically, and in service of the people — not to push a specific platform.
With these principles in mind, we’ve developed this program:
Step 1: The "We are here" meeting.
AI in CC starts with a ‘state of the nation’ discussion and audit of your AI tools, access, governance, and use cases. It’s a 1-hour meeting, facilitated by Open, with your Comms department lead and 2-3 colleagues, structured around our Head, Heart, Habits framework. In some instances, this conversation also includes senior stakeholders who shape priorities and expectations. The purpose is to get a snapshot of your AI maturity, which we will put into perspective, based on what we see across IC teams to customize the components of steps 2-4 below.
Step 2: The "Dirty hands AI" workshop.
Based on the output of the “We are here” meeting, Open plans a half-day workshop for your team that addresses their AI strengths, weaknesses, interests and opportunities. This can be on-site or virtual.
Need prompt frameworks? Check. Think an agent might be the solution to a recurring issue? We can explore and test that with you. This workshop has a strong hands-on aspect to it; expect to experiment, test and learn by doing. Output is less fear, more experience, some tips and tools, and, if you’re up for it, some new AI habits.
Step 3: The “What if we…” workshop.
Applying AI often means new ways of working. Not just new habits for individuals, but potentially, new processes for teams.
About 2-3 weeks after the previous workshop (so all participants have had time to practice using what they learned), we’ll meet again where Open facilitates a 90-minute brainstorming session to identify, capture, and explore use case opportunities for AI in your IC operations.
Step 4: Your AI in CC roadmap.
Open will evaluate the output of the “What if we” workshop. We ‘ll prioritize the opportunities we’ve surface. You’ll get use-case scorecards and recommendations for what to prioritize and how to get started.
Open will present your AI in CC roadmap to you and your team in a 55-minute Teams meeting, with time for discussion and Q&A.
You end this 4-step process with a state of your AI in CC nation, a more AI-competent team, a collection of AI in CC use cases linked to your work, and a roadmap outlining what to tackle first and how to get started.
